This information is not kept private as we have to give your date of birth to our Lenders with all applications that we choose to process. Applicants over 70 years of age will be asked to refer to a Solicitor of their own choice to ensure they understand the commitment being taken on. We do not however inform relatives when dealing with senior citizens but you may be required to inform others in certain circumstances. Informing dependants Dependants including tenants living at any rented property used for security may have to be informed by the applicant as their signature(s) will be required by some Lenders. This is so that they are aware of any rights they may have if your secured loan is not repaid. Data Protection Act When you submit an online application to us your information will be used by us to assess your requirements and not kept permanently on any of our computers. As Licenced Credit Brokers and Credit Reference Agents we will decide if to submit the same information to our Lender(s) or their specialist Licenced Credit Broker(s) who may then decide to retain the same information by whatever means they choose and we have no control over this event. They will usually search your Credit Records with any number of Licensed Credit Reference Agencies adding details to your records about your Loan Application. Other Lenders may find records of this same Application now and again in the future. Third parties, for example your Employer or Bank may sometimes be contacted by the Lenders to verify the information you provide. You can ask us to send you copies of any application that you have made to us or to remove or alter any such application. This service is FREE. Data storage Loan applications made online using HTTP or HTTPS (recommended) are removed automatically from our servers. THE SERVERS DO NOT STORE PERSONAL INFORMATION USED FOR LOAN APPLICATIONS and no information is stored offline longer than necessary to reply to you except some details will be kept for marketing purposes all as explained online before you submit your application to us. Any data is stored offline and not accessible from the Internet at any time. Email Information from you or other correspondence sent to us by email and not by online application is never circulated outside our premises and kept confidential. It is not relayed to any other broker, credit reference agency or lender. If you do not want credit scoring apply by email first and we will advise accordingly. Signatures Documents sent to you by post require signatures initially by all parties making the application. These are retained by the Lenders who will make checks to authenticate as required. Witnesses Credit agreements have to be independently witnessed at the actual occasion when you sign. You will be able to choose who does this but they must not be a member of your family or a relative. Most documents can be covered so that third parties are not aware of your business except that they are witnessing your signature(s) on a document. Confidentiality We never buy or sell client information to anyone and do not hawk your details around to other brokers or lenders in the hope of getting any deal. We are not a directory or loan finding or loan tracking service and operate on a one to one basis. |
